Karen Fox, Associate Professor Primary English at St Mary's University, Twickenham, worked with 3rd year Primary Education students to create a Quilt of Welcome, which is now on display at the university. It was sewn together by Senior Lecturer Finola Utton, the English subject lead, who is also passionate about multilingual learners. The quilt has the dual purpose of welcoming students to the university's Education block, and to help teacher trainees consider their future practice with multilingual learners in the classroom.
